I suggest you plug your Glo into the computer and back it up. Then do a factory reset. After that, register it again with your Kobo account, sync it to get the latest firmware and see how it goes. You can then put back your books on the Glo once you know it's working.

The bug appears when I changed 2.8.1 to 3.16. I tried to reinstall firmware with buckups and without them, with factory resets and hard resets. I checked all new firmwares, but the bug still here. Interesting thing, frecuency of the bug decreased with newer versions. In 3.16-3.17 kobo can freezed a few times per day, but now its 1 time per week or two.
For library I use Calibre.

Iv got freeze again after I disconnect glo from charging and put him to sleep by sleepcover.

Did you factory reset and go straight to the latest firmware?

Ok, I did factory reset, kobo updated to 3.19.5761 and sync-ed. All clear. Should I try to catch the freeze?

Upd. Kobo charged with closed sleepcover right now in sleep mode and when I open it, kobo was freezed. I wanted to record a video, but kobo restarted by himslef. Battery was full.

To my mind this is not a bug; a bug would occur to many MANY people, not just one.

I did read someplace on MR that the problem might be related to going from the version firmware the device came with and jumping right in to a much later firmware.

Factory reset, go to the firmware thread in the Kobo developer's section and find the version firmware after the one you have after a factory reset. Then download all you can until you get to the latest one. Update using each version firmware until you are done. Then see if the problem you are having is still a problem.

I just experienced something similar to what Jukets had reported, in that my Glo would auto sleep and wake via the cover but not by the switch. In fact the slide switch was not working at all. The simple solution for me was to press the case back together; it had popped apart across the top near the switch.

I updated firmwares one by one. And I will write results later.

So, glo freezed. Its exactly depends on charging, because its first time since those updates one by one, and it happens before in my bugs videos.

This is almost my first post here, so I'm fairly sure I'll be doing this wrong but here goes.

I recently purchased the Kobo Glo HD when my older Kobo's slider button broke. Starting yesterday, the Glo HD won't search properly from inside a book. When I try to search it comes up as being on 'bookstore' for starters, then when I click on 'current read' it shows the PREVIOUS book I was reading and searches it when I try running a search.

I've just completed a factory reset, it has the newest firmware installed, and it's still doing the same thing with the search. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix? Thank you.

Yep, happens for me too. One of those cute minor "oh this is so Kobo!" bugs I haven't bothered to mention here.

Simple workaround:
1) Open search in book window.
2) If it shows the previous book in the grey box near the top where it says "Book: ...", close the search window.
3) Open the search window again. Hey presto - correct book will be searched.

I have no idea what triggers this bug. I just tried it, and it gave me the correct book at the first attempt. Then I closed that book and opened another - and promptly the bug was there...

I thought they had fixed that. The bug is if you use the menu at the bottom to start a search, the first time you do it inside a book, it will show the last book opened as the current book. If you select text and start the search from the popup menu, it will always show the correct current book.

They may have. I'm on FW 3.18.0, not the very latest one...
