merged books on Calibre

I did a "merged" book on Calibre because I didn't know which "book" was what I got as there were 2 books listed in my kindle lib; selected the "wrong" one to check.

I guess the merge is only for the azw version & so the book was reconverted to epub.

Will I have to resend the book to CC? or will CC find that the meta may have gotten changed & get the book by itself or just the updated meta data?

Didn't get any hits on the FAQ on merged books & what to do about it. Would CC just merge the book when resent?

Answering my own question. If a book is "merged" on Calibre because Amazon sent another version, the book need to be reconverted & SENT to CC.

Now I have a problem of "which book got updated" in Kindle lib. Think I'll just ignore instead of checking the dates in the Kindle lib vs the CC lib. Unless I got notified that a Kindle book got updated which won't happen.

When connected as a wireless device, CC can automatically look for changed book formats (files), meaning it can automatically download changed (reconverted, edited, whatever) book formats. To set this up, go to CC's Settings / Connecting to calibre and check the box "Wireless device connection / Sync newer book files". This adds a new line to the Connect menu.

A book format is downloaded if the book format in calibre is newer than the book format in CC. As a side effect, a format is downloaded if it has disappeared from the CC library.
