Making bricks out of Apples: iOS 9.3.2

This link below is to only one of a number of articles I've seen recently concerning the latest Easter egg in iOS 9.3.2: it's reported ability to brick some of the iPads of some owners who have upgraded.

Most of the articles I've seen focus on problems some iPad Pro users have experienced, but I'm not at all sure the problem is confined solely to the Pros.

Has anyone upgraded yet, and if so, what has your experience been?

I've upgraded everything except my iPad pro (iPhone 6 plus and iPad mini). No problems.

Just as an aside, I really like the iTunes update. A big improvement on the interface.

That sounds good. My iPad automatically downloaded the update and is now nagging me to install it. I have a suspicion that if I don't do it soon, Apple will go ahead and install it with or without my permission.

No problem at all on my phone (6). Haven't installed it yet on my iPad mini. The Forbes article refuses to work with an ad blocker in situ, so I've no idea what it says.

I just bit the bullet and installed it because a few of my recently updated apps had started crashing. Evidently their updates were to prepare them to function in the new iOS environment. So far no problems.

What's changed? The only interface change I've noticed is that the "Convert" option for a track has been removed from the right-click menu, and is now hidden 3 levels deep on the "File" menu. That's not an improvement!

The return of the sidebar is the main thing for me. When they removed it, I was so annoyed. I had become very used to managing my media via a sidebar instead of the minimalist idiotic dropdowns... And now its back. YAY!

According to MacRumors, Apple has pulled the update for 9.7 inch iPad Pros. Mine didn't get the memo though, it's still bugging me to update.

That article also states, "MacRumors has heard several reports suggesting Apple is replacing iPad Pros bricked by the update, with no other simpler fix readily available. Users who are affected should contact Apple Support for assistance."

I'd wait until that rumor was confirmed by Apple, though, before taking it to the bank.

Seems to be only the 9.7" iPad Pro that's affected. No problem on my iPhone 6 or my iPad Air 2.

Many of the early reports weren't that specific, but you're right. My iPad Air came through unscathed, which is good, because some of my apps that had been updated for iOS 9.3.2 had started crashing occasionally under iOS 9.3.1.

I installed it on my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Mini 2 a few days ago and have seen no ill effects. I agree that the issues being reported seem to mostly be associated with the new iPad Pro 9.7 inch model.
