It seems to be only these batteries for me right now. They all show as Prime (4-5 days), but the ones in the middle of the top row in the screen shot can be delivered tomorrow or Wednesday which is normal Prime. The one in the top row right has only one choice if I try to buy it - free delivery on Thursday. This should not be shown as Prime or Amazon needs to give me a way to filter it out.
This article talks about a new program called Ship by Region and says Amazon is not limiting Prime shipping. I buy from Amazon for two day shipping and if there's no way for me to filter out the slow shipping then Amazon *is* limiting Prime shipping. http://www.cmswire.com/customer-expe...imit-shipping/ |

Amazon trivia if you are interested -
![]() Sellers on Amazon have the ability to choose what shipping options they offer - Standard, Expedited, Premium (overnight/2nd day) - and whether they want to participate in Amazon's Prime shipping as an FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) member. In the case of a FBM (fulfilled by merchant), Amazon provides an "expected ship date" and a "deliver by date" to the seller based on what option the buyer selects. The merchant then selects the appropriate (usually most economical for the seller) shipping method for the item to arrive by the deliver-by date. The deliver-by date is usually in a range (eg 17-20 May). That range is provided to the buyer when they are selecting their items and shipping method. I highly encourage anyone buying from Amazon to take note of that date range and select their shipping preferences accordingly. The items usually arrive by the beginning of the range but you are taking a risk if the date range extends past the birthday/anniversary/etc. To be safe I'd choose a different shipping option. While some carriers will deliver on a Saturday - or even a Sunday for an extra fee - most will not accept the item for shipment on a weekend. Or, at best, have a very limited number of hours they may be open early on Saturday. If you purchase an item on a weekend, or late Friday, don't expect it to ship until Monday. A seller participating in FBA is one who sends their product to the Amazon warehouse and allows Amazon to handle all the shipping to the individual customers. That allows them to participate in the Amazon Prime program. That does NOT change the basic rules of shipping, it simply means that Amazon gives shipping discounts to prime members if they spend enough on a single purchase. Aside from the occasional drone delivery, Amazon has to use the same shippers as the FBM sellers - with the same shipping and delivery time constraints. OH - One more bit of advice that can save you some money. Before clicking on the "Add to Cart" or the "Buy now with 1-click" buttons, check out the link just below the item description. It usually says something like "8 new from $$". That link will give you a list of all merchants selling the item. You can usually find the item for less than the initially advertised price. Cheers, |

Lithium batteries shipped by air have limitations. I am a jeweler and buy batteries wholesale from one of my suppliers. I can ship up to 11 Lithium batteries in one air shipment. Anything over that amount has to go ground.

I do check the other sellers, but I like two day shipping if it's not too much more. |

I see alot of things that get free shipping for Prime members. Last bigger item I bought was a king size bed which had free shipping with Prime, but the stipulation that it needs extra processing time. It shipped with UPS, arrived 8 days after ordering. It was actually a day ahead of the shipping estimate Amazon gave me. To demand that such a big item shall ship free in 2 days is unreasonable, IMO. I do appreciate that there is items that offer free shipping to Prime while they would otherwise have no free shipping option at all.

Last time I had an order not arrive in the time it was supposed to, I called Amazon and complained. I was given an extra month of Prime as compensation. So do call Amazon when a Prime order is not delivered in time. You might get compensated for the inconvenience.

What I have a problem with is this new Ship by Region program. Almost all of the items returned from a search said Prime (4-5 days) with no way to filter them out. You can filter out add-on items, so Amazon needs to have a way to filter out 4-5 day orders as well. Both have additional restrictions on normal Prime rules. |

No. I won't order something that isn't available for two day delivery. Also, if I choose slow shipping on a prime item I am compensated. This just wants me to get slow shipping for free.
