That would also explain why a lot of the pictures on the product page look like renderings or photoshop or are of the Paperwhite.

I really expected them to come out with something I would like. This is just so so NOT what I wanted that it's ridiculous.

I wonder if you can Lock the thing so its not flipping. I read on my side on bed But I don't read in land scape. So how would that work? The videos just show how to flip it from Right hand to left hand. TM fixed the charging concerns I could use it & Never charge it Like I do my Fire 10. Don't know why I let that stupid case & charging concern me So beyond price the only other thing would be the flipping.

Amazon have managed to create a "top of the line" ereader that is both figuratively and literally flipping you off.

No reason to expect a Lamborghini to have more luggage space or better off-road capabilities than a Ford F-Series Pickup. The best price to features ratio is usually not found at the high-end :-)

Imagine if a Ford F-150 was your new kindle (Features overload):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2-iJWlA6K4

The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento does none of that:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nHgsKEYQEA

Teleread reports that both the Paperwhite (20.5:1) and Voyage (20.8:1) has higher contrast ratio than the Oasis (18.7:1), but they also report that 60 percent more LED might skew the actual perception.

I think it only automatically flips between portrait modes unless it's been set to landscape mode. Unlike your typical tablet.

Can we send this poll to Amazon, just to help them figure out what direction to go in next... It sure looks like a larger, waterproof Kindle with page turn buttons and TTS would do quite well

Great question. I do the same thing and hadn't thought about that. Hopefully you can turn off the automatic rotation. It would be very silly of Amazon not to allow that.

I vote for sending it to Kobo instead. I give up on Amazon making an ereader I really like. Also, Kobo's already half-way there since they'd only need to add buttons and TTS.
