So one out of the ten choices listed in the poll? Really, just one half out of ten since they only put buttons on one side. :P

LOL! Nothing but a problematic design that doesn't seem to be well accepted and a price that enrages most of the posters I've read across the internet. Want a LOL moment? Then read the Customer Q&A section on Amazon.com for the new Oasis: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00REQKWGA/..._k_ods_eink_wy
The Q&A section is near the bottom of the page. |

As to the Q&A, it isn't out yet so I expect stupid answers. It is just the usual crowd showing off their intelligence. |

Here we are "only" conditioned to want overpriced toys we can't afford without some serious sacrifices, but the majority falls short of actually buying the thing. Most of the time

Edit: and as far a general buying habits go, the Brits will buy overpriced stuff they don't need because they feel they deserve a treat, put it on credit because they can't afford it, and then complain that it's all a Great Big Scam when they need to pay for it ![]() Last edited by Yolina; 04-16-2016 at 03:22 PM. |

Here in the US, the common term is Keeping up with the Joneses. Keep in mind that this trend only started about 75 years ago and became really prominent 10 years or so later. Oh look a bright shiny refrigerator. How about a new car? On CBS at 10 am, there is an hour long show dedicated to new products. It is now in its 60th year. The show is The Price is Right. Our local CBS channel was founded in 1956. It was in 1970 or 71, that I learned why we have commercials. I was either 4 or 5. |

When I was a kid (and I am old enough to be your mother), if we were lucky enough to have cable, you got 12 stations. It was a wire running into the house. Otherwise, you got 3 stations. Now alas, even if you get away from TV commercials, you still get ads everywhere else. Even on the Oasis unless you want to pay more. |

Well here we finally had "digitization" of terrestrial/antenna TV signal a year ago, now whole country gets 8 national channels (although all are still broadcasting in SD resolution) + couple of local ones. Before that most people where stuck with 3-4. But since the biggest cable provider here started offering all the same channels as "IPTV" (actually OTT, over-the-top) service in rural areas where there is no cable infrastructure I have got spoiled by "pause now to be able to skip commercials latter" routine. Fortunately I only watch sports on TV, so I get less exposure to commercial & other brainwashing on TV.
Situation with commercials is gradually getting worse here, but if I can judge the situation in US by what I can see with Fox Crime and Fox Movie channels (with 5+ minutes of commercial block every 10-15 minutes of TV show) that we get here via cable or satellite we still have it easy here. |

Simple they use the Pre-Order system & Make them AS Ordered. So Not a matter of them running out. They haven't been made to begin with.
