Not sure on the google translation of that being "What for download in source code?" but that is on the Kindle Voyage software update page.

One thing I miss from my Kobo is the ability to mark a book as "finished" or read. There seems to be no function to do that when reading on the Kindle.

As far as I can tell the only way to do it is to page all the way to the end (or jump to the last point in TOC and then page) then when you exit the book it shows 100% on the top right of the cover.

You can use Collections for that. Or track reading activity on Goodreads (which doesn't tie you to any particular source of reading).

I appreciate the discussion on the kindle firmware 5.7.4 update. Am not going to do a manual update. As I have an unjailbroken PW2 with 5.7.3, I don't believe that I have the option of blocking this update. I don't have wifi at home, but at some point I'll be connected to a wifi hotspot to sync something and the firmware will update. Hopefully, I won't have the problems (indexing, and hopefully solved) that prematurely drained my battery after the 5.7.3 update (OTA early last week).

There's a new update for the pw3 only:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=201756220 "The software update includes performance improvements and other general enhancements." I haven't try it yet. I'm hoping it includes the new amber font. |

You might already have it on your PW3 without noticing it, because Amazon Ember is the new GUI font and probably can't be selected as a book font.
(If your PW3 is jail-broken and you have the Fonts Hack installed, you can export Amazon Ember (along with all the other system fonts) to /linkfonts/Backup via KUAL > Fonts > Fonts Hack Behavior > Backup default fonts.) Have a closer look at the lower case A and S letters in the attached Kindle GUI screenshot and you'll notice that they're definitely not formatted in Helevetica Neue LT. |
