Yes...his location is, I believe, in Massachusetts. There are ways to buy Kindle books from from .uk if you live in .com territory - I've never done it, but I know that some do. I assumed that was what Jon was doing, but...I could be wrong!

Yeah, this sounds a bit like a geographical snag. The Chandler Gateway books available on .com have no such restriction, the UK page says it's available on all devices... the only anomaly is Jon being in Mass. and trying to buy on UK.

Amazon has changed some digital certificates and even updated some quite old devices with the new certs.

If you do that by moving your Kindle from US to UK and back again, Amazon will immediately issue an automated warning to stop doing that. You might actually receive the warning before you get a chance to download the book.

They let you have the book, but the e-mail says that if you keep doing this, your 'Amazon account may be restricted in one or more ways'.

Been there, done that. It's not Kobo
