Hi guys, i updated to 5.7.2.1 after i jailbroken on 5.6.5, then i put the bridge .bin to / . the kindle would show me "invalid update file".

Restart your device, it the update didn't already restart it.
That restart will re-install the jailbreak automagically.

You don't need to install the bridge, the JB procedure you followed already installed it, and it survives the Amazon update.

Just to save you some future puzzlement - -

Install: KUAL
Install: MrPI (Mobileread Package Installer, a KUAL extension).

You **MUST** use MrPI to install update_*.bin packages.
Putting them in the root of user storage no longer works.

Just put them in the /mrpackages directory (which will be created by the MrPI installation).

Has anyone tested 5.7.2.1, which just came out yesterday? I haven't seen any success reports. Maybe something changed?

Hi, Knc1.

Sorry for my poor engilsh!
Before I restored my device all things worked good.
After that, I moved JailBreak-1.14.N-FW-5.x-hotfix.bin to /. But it showed me "invalid update file".
After I put kual-kdk-2.0.azw3 to /document, then i pressed the kindle launcher,it showed me "this device is not authorized as a test kinde by the developer of this item...."

Any chance for me to still fix this or am i out of luck?

Re-boot the device by holding the power button.
Try KUAL again, after it finishes booting.
Report the results.

You applied a firmware update, then factory reset -- all before running the hotfix for the first time?

You just deleted the jailbreak.

Little tip:
After a jailbreak, you may restart your Kindle by either going to the menu and hitting restart or by holding the power button until it restarts.
Under no circumstances are you to hit the factory reset.
Again do NOT touch Factory Reset

That puts your kindle back to where it started.

After holding the power button. I tryed that again.

@eschwartz,I think i have deleted my jailbreak

Before I first restored my kindle ,when i upgraded to 5.7.2.1. I tested the koreader is OK.
Then I restored my kinde . So I have to wait for the next jailbreak, is it right?

Just tested, followed the guide Here

upgraded to 5.7.2.1 and started KUAL and KOreader just fine
