Have you tried a hard reset of the T1? My only reason for suggesting it is that I had some strange problems with my Sony 505 that could only be solved with a hard reset. I'm not even sure how to do such a thing on a T1 though.

Small hole on the bottom of the T1 marked 'reset'. Have tried it several times but that doesn't fix the problem. But this time I plugged the T1 into the computer when I tried a reset and got a message that new T1 software was available did I want to download it. I clicked Yes and got a message that the new software was already partially downloaded. So I opted to erase the partial download and start from scratch

Will let you know what happens

Rebooted my reader and, to my astonishment, all my books were back on my T1 including the one I recently bought and which started this problem when I downloaded it.

You're still better off using Calibre than the awful Sony eBook Library.
