That's right, they have no real competition anymore so they don't have to innovate. But there's is lots they could do to innovate (bigger and smaller screens, a big e-ink pdf reader that could double as a monitor). They are just not interested in doing so.

Or maybe they know there's not enough of a demand for those kind of changes.
I would dearly LOVE a little pocket Kindle, but I'm willing to bet I'm in the minority. And while bigger screens might appeal to some people, I think most people prefer small and lightweight. Which explains why Kindles keep getting smaller, thinner and lighter. I imagine Amazon has focus groups that help them to know what readers really want. |

Not sure a large screen eInk PDF reader (of which there already is one and another on the way) would fit well into Amazon's content streams, especially with how expensive 13.3" mobius screens are. |

I wanted a Voyage 2. I'm one of a few who "sees" the yellowish brown discoloration on the top half. Tried 7 units over several months since release date. My last shot was in May. While I am pleased with the PW3, I really would like the flush screen and better contrast.

I've heard rumors where Google, Amazon and Microsoft will collaborate in creating the ultimate e-reader device, named the 'Kindeckt Goggles'.
It will be a 100% transparent e-ink device, where the user doesn't even know when he wears them, and can give the impression of a live theatre sized screen, where multiple pdfs can be loaded side to side. The device is supposed to go on sale around Q2, April 1 2016 is the target date, and should cost the company a mere few pennies to make. Apple wanted to get into it, but it appeared that they would have raised the final price to about 50x more, and would have replaced the Kinect with a simple '1 button fits all'. Google and Amazon basically voted out Apple, since Jobs wasn't there to defend the company's viewpoint. |

Most people actually jave no opinion on screen size. But most would think larger is more readable. If you like smaller, have you tried the Jetbook mini? Great device! Blazing fast! Reads only few file formats, and has no glo light. It's also no eink either, reflective tft, but very portable, and should last a week or so on rechargeable batteries. |

6 inch works fine for reading, and my phone isn't bad indoors, but more a more portable device for bright light situations would be nice. |

![]() I thought I might like the bigger screen size going from a 6" to 6.8" (I had a Glo and tried an Aura HD and H2O). In practice, I kept the 6". |

If they had devices with significantly smaller borders, they could get a 6.8" screen fitted in current 6" devices. I'm sure if a 9" device comes out on a 4,5" device (screen folded), that a lot of people would find it an interesting device as well! |

Well, of course. Portability is the only logical reason for wanting a mini kindle.
