You'll probably just have to try it. Since there isn't a promo price attached, gifting should work ALL ways (extending included. But since Amazon played with the rules, you'll want to turn off auto-renewal and try gifting with a specific date.)

I received a large number of emails regarding Cyber Monday today, and what I noticed is that the items were the same ones that are always being offered on sale - NFL sweatshirts, watches, selfie-sticks, etc.

I didn't take a close look at the prices today, because if I had ever wanted these items, I would have picked them up by now.

Cyber Monday deals: not sure how to link this for you, but Amazon has 85% off on some selection of books. I just got 8 Dorothy Sayers books for $1.99 each. It would have been a few more than that, except that I already had a couple of them. I think if you just go to amazon.com, you'll be pointed to this deal.

That looks good but we don't get the deals in the UK.

I would say 80% of this thread is only applicable for the U.S..

I had to laugh the other day as I got a Black Friday Sale email from both Mightyape in New Zealand and EZDVD in Australia. I thought Black Friday was just a US thing.

I purchase things occasionally from Amazon.uk for a friend (obviously) in the UK and got an email for Black Friday deals. A friend in Scotland thinks it's funny it's 'jumped the pond' (and even further!).

If anyone sees any $5 google play cards in a mainstream US store, PLEASE let me know...I wanted to grab a few for little stocking suffers and last minute emergency gifts, but can't seem to locate them despite Google's insistence that they exist.
