If it's the system TOC viewer, why is it so small in CoolReader and normal size in AdobeViewer and FB Reader? |

Adobe and FB don't use it anymore in FW5. They have a custom made TOC viewer implemented directly in the apps.

Can Coolreader use stardict dictionaries without converting them to Pocketbook form?

Hey brucelee: I just created a MobileRead-Account to say thank you for your brilliant work on CoolReader3. The app makes my PB626 such a better device, I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love it.

Yesterday I stumbled across the skin-setting for the first time and I absolutely love the way CR3 looks with the PB636FW5 skin. Hadn't seen that before. Perfect. Just a thought for the future: do not wander into the "Featuritis-trap". Not every feature asked by anyone really needs to be implented. CoolReader is still on the declining path leading to a better and better app, so no worries at the moment. Just don't tread on the path where eg. Firefox is on at the moment: more and more features are asphyxiating the real value of the app. To make a long story short: THANKS AGAIN for your superb work so far!

I don't intend to implement any new stuff for a while anyway. I want to fix some annoying bugs.

	Thanks for the review.

			Refreshing bug.

There seems to be a refreshing bug. When a pageturn is processed IMO the following happens: - step 1: the new page is displayed inverted - step 2: just before step 3, the old page is displayed inverted - step 3: the new page is displayed normal So IMO step 2 should be skipped which will result in a slightly more crisp display with more consitent black text and also better contrast I dunno if this is already common knowledge but the bug sadly is not related to Coolreader itself but to Pocketbook in general. Perhaps it's possible to develop some kind of workaround, or maybe an optional double refresh option? BTW, thanks for the pinch zoom fix |

About that refreshing thing, yes, I also reported refreshing problem earlier complaining about the text quality. Now my workaround is to do full update at each page turn. (Which makes me angry, because my old Nook shows very good text quality without using full update.) Last edited by LittleBiG; 08-28-2015 at 08:12 AM. |
