That's strange. It's working fine for me. And it's actually using a system method for getting the book cover.
Code:
ibitmap *GetBookCover(const char *name, int width, int height);
Thanks for your answers!

How can I fix a broken book style?

I checked again about the covers. It seems some weren't probably embedded into the book, which is strange because it's part of my workflow in Calibre. Anyway, I reloaded them onto my reader and now the covers are shown.

I noticed that there is a problem with the search in the latest version of Coolreader. On my PB TL 2 I search for a word but I cannot use the buttons to go forward and back through the search results. It works this way on my PB TL 1 with the previous version of CR. Instead, on the TL 2 it just goes to the next page.

- You'd probably have to know CSS and look through the styles hoping you'll find something wrong.
- Or you could do this and see if something relevant shows up in the CR logs.

Pinch zoom before once consulting Coolreader Settings results in an exit to homescreen.

I'm going back to v0.0.6-17-39 for now. Thanks for the effort tho!

In v0.0.6-17-39 I had noticed a bug with the dictionary. When I long-tap a word and the dictionary opens I can select other words from the top half of the screen to show in the dictionary. This does not work with words from the lower half of the screen. The words just get underlined but the translation does not come up.
Don't know if this still is the case, but I hesitate to try the new version with the pinch zoom bug.

Also I would appreciate it if the exit arrow of the dictionary windows could be enlarged and/or placed somewhere else. I sometimes open Google accidentally when I want to exit the dictionary.

A question about the ToC: It's good to have an overview with the entries being so small but it's impossible to expand or collapse any entry because the +/- icons are really tiny. Would it be possible to make them bigger? Or maybe add buttons like "expand/collapse all"?

No. It's the system TOC viewer. It could be done by a custom system theme or by writing an entirely new TOC viewer. I had in mind to develop a new TOC viewer but I abandoned the idea (At least for a while. I might get back to it but I can't promise anything.).

+1 I also have to be extra cautious. (Or just a confirmation question would be enough before opening the browser?)

Plus, I don't really like that in citation dialog the default is the "Ok". I think the most useful default would be the "Choose paragraph", because in the most cases you start with that. (Explanation: I use citation many times. It is far from good, but better than nothing. Sometimes I am too quick, and after entering citation mode, I press the up or down button on the reader to choose the paragraph and I create a new citation entry which is not too simple to delete. Even the "Cancel" would be better default than the "Ok".)

Bug: when a dictionary has more entries with the same name like "me" and "ME" (abbreviation for medical examiner), direct tap on "ME" opens the entry "me". The same with "major" and "Major".

I don't think I changed anything related to this kind of thing since I started working with CR3.
What's the previous version of CR3 you used?
Does it happen with all the books?
Try setting the following option to 2: Settings > Display settings > Grey buffer depth

Could you please enable font sizes up to 150? I have 62 right now and it is not enough for me in some circumstances.

Thank you
