Thanks, brucelee, for these great enhancements! The dynamic front light swipe is fantastic, and so is the pinch zoom. And 65 font sizes to choose from!

For me personally, the default AdobeReader is not better.
In old versions of firmware you could set up FBReader to have left justification and narrow margins. In recent versions of firmware 4.xy and 5.xy in some epubs you can not change some formatting options, such as justification, margins and sometimes even font for some epubs. Coolreader lets me to set my preferred options. This is why I consider to be better.

Yes, it's important to say what you think is important when declaring an app to be better. In my case, I'm not fussy about justification or fonts, but I appreciate good kerning, so I usually favour the AdobeViewer app. Speed is also important, and CoolReader often beat AdobeViewer there, at least with older versions, so sometimes I'd use CoolReader in those cases where AdobeViewer was frustratingly slow.

"Dictionary: Show when long-tapping a word"

How does this work? Doesn't this cause a conflict with the long tap zone actions?

You have to set Dictionary for all the long tap zones.

Cool, long-tapping a word for the dictionary is really great! I also love pinch to zoom and the light swipe. I've just made CoolReader my default reader on my TL2 with FW 5.9.

Also finally took the plunge from FW4.4 to FW5.9.

Awesome last additions (pinch zoom / front light swipe)!!!
Many thanks for all the effort, over and over again!

IMO the pro5 edition is a tad more responsive than the pro4.

Few remarks...

The pinch zoom only show current font size number if you first once open the settings screen and a new pinch zoomed value won´t be remembered when power off the ereader.

The pro4 has a square instead circle with page number swipe.

Keep up the good work!

What would be the best settings for the following?

I want to keep as much as possible from the embedded CSS style. For example, when I read a book with a lot of quotes, those are usually indented. Such a style should be kept.
At the same time I want text to be justified, with a small indent for each paragraph, and to use my own font and line spacing.

I have played around with the settings in some books. I have "Document embedded style" on, but this seems to override the default paragraph formatting e.g. "small indent" doesn't show.

And what is the difference between "preformatted text" and "document embedded style"?

Also, I have a book which wouldn't open in Coolreader anymore after I switched "Document embedded style" on. What could be the problem here?

And one last question: I have my PB configured to show the bookcover when turned off. With Coolreader it doesn't show the original cover anymore. It seems that a default cover with the book title is created. Can this be changed to the original cover?

It's because FW4 doesn't have this method:
Code:
void DrawCircle(int x0, int y0, int radius, int color);

Activating the embedded CSS can turn into unexpected behavior regarding the custom CSS since the style is not the same for each book. Also the text structure can differ and screw up the CSS. The embedded CSS can force certain values and override your custom options.

Document embedded style - is exactly what it says it is
Preformatted text - I have no idea
I always keep both of them deactivated.

As I already said "unexpected behavior". The book style is probably broken.

That's strange. It's working fine for me. And it's actually using a system method for getting the book cover.
Code:
ibitmap *GetBookCover(const char *name, int width, int height);

Preformatted text controls whether the user custom defined Coolreader's style will be applied to a .txt file. So only of importance to .txt files
