Then I must already own the qualifying Kindle companion. I logged out to see if the deal price would show up, and it doesn't even show the deal. Looks like you'll never know what the real deal price is if it's Whispersync and you own the Kindle companion.

Anyone remember an easy way to move overdrive files off an idevice and onto a computer? It doesn't seem doable with just iTunes or windows explorer.

Librivox has multiple copies of Treasure Island as well. There's at least one solo and one dramatic reading in the catalog. Librivox is always free. Classics tend to have lot's of audiobook versions.

Thanks for the heads-up. I think PRH wanted to avoid any unpleasantness like the last time (I think) they did a newsletter announcement ahead of time. They had difficulty getting the freebie up on FB and had followers posting not-so-nice things most of the day until they got it fixed.

I got the Ford club email, took the survey, got the redemption code link, but Audible said I wasn't eligible for that promotion. Is it for paying members only or something?

I switched to my wife's account, which is currently on one of those three month membership promotions, and got the free book for her.

It's really more her type of book anyway.
