Rather like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EZSUWFG/..._t3_B00413PHDM Although actual TVs are somewhat cheaper: http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-SE19HE01...rds=tv+hdmi+17 Either way, if you get a streamer you may end up watching enough video to justify the new display. Of course, that might take away from your reading time. Last edited by fjtorres; 03-26-2015 at 05:59 PM.

That cable will let you plug the fire stick into an RCA jack, but it will not let you watch what is at the hdmi end of the cable on what is at the rca end of the cable.

I currently use this splitter to connect my DVD player and my VHS player to my TV. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T8KZCM/ Is there something I could use to plug my Fire Stick into this splitter? |

http://www.amazon.com/enKo-products-...ct_top?ie=UTF8 But it costs 40% of what a new TV does so unless your old one is much bigger... Gotta say, 33 years is amazingly durable for a TV. You obviously take good care of your toys.

Since starting using the stick regularly, we've been seeing problems with audio and video glitches. The audio will just cut out for second or two and then start again. The video will freeze, and then catch up similarly. We primarily watch Netflix, and I'm not sure if the problem is restricted to that app. I'll have to watch Prime for a while and check. I'm curious if anyone here has had similar issues and found a solution, before I call Amazon support. |

So far, we haven't had any issues at all that couldn't be solved with a simple reboot of the stick. And that only twice since we got it (at the original release date). I continue to be very, very happy with this little thing. |

Glad to hear something positive about it. I have pre-ordered the stick, and it's due out here on April 15th.

I was using the stick upstairs to bingwatch a series we bought, and my husband was trying to do it downstairs through the DVD player. He was having problems, I had none. So we got a fire TV stick for downstairs-it works perfectly. I am going to order 2 for our vacation house-I convinced my husband to cut the cord there, and we are saving $600 a year. I will use one in the TV in the family room, and one in the TV in the bedroom. I love this thing. |
