I liked the H2O out of the box, the larger screen was my main draw, the better res than the rest of the market (at the time) was another, waterproofing was a nice add on but wasn't a major draw.
The updates to firmware and the patches and other hacks here have basically given me all the functionality I want (easier screensaver switching would be nice, but the random option via a patch isn't bad). Even with the discovery of the Glo HD, I'd still go for an H2O, the 35 DPI bump in screen res that the Glo HD boasts over the H2O doesn't, in my opinion, out weigh the increased real estate of the H2O. |

The reviews seem to be lacking a little common sense.

The 32" HDTV in the basement has higher DPI than the 50" HDTV in the living room -- both are 1920x1080 so the smaller screen has higher DPI. All else being equal, which one would you prefer to view your favourite programs on?

I wont deny the Glo HD is nice, especially for more image heavy reading, but if given the choice between the H2O and the Glo HD as they are right now, I'd still go with my H2O. Last edited by MGlitch; 04-06-2015 at 02:26 AM. |

Both devices weight less (without a case) than most paperback books. And with the new trend of these larger paperback books, both devices can end up weighing less than a lot of paperback books even with a case (depending on the case). |

What I do personally with heavy books (and some of my Egyptology books - the "coffee table" variety - are ridiculously heavy!) is to read them on my lap with the book supported by a cushion. That works well for me.

A stand would do. There is one case for the H2O that also can be used as a stand.
