Good morning, everyone! Happy Wet Day! We finally had some rain last night, and it cleared most of the muck out of Asian skies. More is predicted for today too! This is our first rain in months and months! Spring has sprung, and soon the jungles will be green and lush once again! I'm celebrating the event by drinking the most appropriate tea... Extra Smokey Lapsang Souchong tea from McNultey's Tea & Coffee. Perfect!

Quite so. A bad Lapsang Souchong can taste like the inside of an old chimney. That's why I order mine from McNultey's. Always a good cup of tea!

The first brand I ever tried (from a high-end regional grocery store) tasted like burnt spinach. The stuff I get from the local Asian market smells like an oak campfire but definitely tastes like a variation on tea.

Still, it's a once-in-a-while drink for me.

Peet's Pride of the Port Blend tea. An interesting blend, very much what I'd expect in an "English Afternoon" type of blend. Good nose, but probably best with milk, which I don't use. OTOH, it's one of two choices I have at the office.

I'm drinking East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea this morning, getting ready to visit the Food Lady, and all is well in my world once again!

I'm not a big guy... just 5'9", and she's not so small, although I am a head taller than she. She was sooo fast, and sooo accurate with her point control that only my reflexes and experience saved me from total disaster. She still beat me 5-3. She's only been fencing for a little over a year, so she hasn't much in the way of strategic planing yet. When she acquires that (and that only comes with experience,) she will be unstoppable. I predict this girl will make it to the World Cup finals before she's 18, if not the Olympics. I'm good. Really good. (Remember... I took the Silver medal in Foil at the last big International tournament.) But she beat me like I was a rank amateur! This kid is gonna be a star! It's a delight to be beaten by a youngster with this much talent!
