Yeah, mostly OK. Just had a bunch of things, one after another, go wrong. Grey, cold, wet day, didn't get enough sleep (dogs were restless), didn't get much written because I kept getting interrupted, and then a critical computer part that was supposed to arrive at our US mailbox last week and come up with my DW, never got shipped. So now I have 9/10ths of what I need to build the new server that I need for the book I'm working on, and no way to finish it. Sigh. Like I said, just a rotten day.

But, the good news - I slept well last night, there's some blue sky showing (not much), I've ordered a local part to replace the one I had ordered. Should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday, which will do. It isn't what I wanted, but it will suffice.

Drinking Peet's English Breakfast Blend tea, having just finished a Major Dickason's coffee.

Then brew your tea with water not quite so hot, and let it steep. You might find that you like Pu erh this way.

I did give it a quick wash, but perhaps for the next cup I will be more diligent, thank you. Now my sample of Keemun Mao Feng is just finished brewing. I hope I like this one better!

Morning has broken like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird.
Praise for the singing,
Praise for the morning,
Praise for them springing fresh from the world.

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass.

Mine is the sunlight,
Mine is the morning,
Born of the one light Eden saw play.
Praise with elation, praise ev'ry morning,
God's recreation of the new day.

Good morning, everyone! Spring has sprung! The sun's up, there is no snow in the forcast... in fact, we're supposed to get some rain on Tuesday! That will be the first rain in months, and should wash the air clean of the smog blanketing S.E. Asia for the past two weeks. Fresh starts... new beginnings... I like that! I have some of my newest Ceylon tea in my mug this morning, rice is cooking so breakfast should be up shortly... I think this is going to be a very peaceful day!

Pu Erh, by its nature, doesn't have the depth of flavor that most of the Black teas have. For those using milk and sugar, a Pu Erh would be pretty much covered up. Keemun, Assam, Uva, Dimbula, etc... these are teas with solid body. Each one will vary in taste with the region in which it was grown (which is why there are so many different ones in each catagory,) but all will have a depth of flavor not found in Oolong's or Pu Erh's. It takes a bit of experimentation to find the teas that suit your own palate, but once you do, it becomes the drink to love!

Up in the morning and off to school
the teacher is teaching the golden rule.
American history and practical math
you study them hard, hoping to pass
working your fingers right down to the bone
the guy behind you won't leave you alone.
Ring, ring, goes the bell
the cook in the lunchroom's ready to sell
you're lucky if you can find a seat
you're fortunate if you have time to eat.

Good morning, everyone! Happy Monday! I'm up early today. I've decided to take another cooking lesson from the same school I attended two weeks ago, so gotta get started early today. I've got unbranded Keemun tea in my mug to start of the week, and I think this is going to be another good one!

Lion Mountain Keemun. I'm in the office for a couple of days, and my options are limited. But since one of them is this, I can hardly complain

I too bought some Pu Er because everybody here liked it so much. I bought a "sampler pack" of tea bags. Probably not the Approved Way to buy it, but I'm not into tea that requires work. Anyway, it all tasted like it had been through a fire. Very smokey. I tried one cup from each tea bag, but I won't buy any more. I'll stick with English Breakfast and Earl Grey, hot. (But not off-brand. Only Twinings for the Earl Grey, I think.) Or just plain Lipton tea that I make iced (but never from a powder). I'll leave the fancy teas to the rest of you!

Ah, but a good Lapsang Souchong in the afternoon on a rainy, gray day? Perfect. That being said, there are quite bad ones out there too.

Another pot of Lion Mountain Keemun for me.
