I hadn't noticed. But on this purchase, the CD with AutoRip cost less than the mp3 album alone ($15.88 for CD, $16.49 for mp3 download), which seems nuts.

LOL I like '50s and '60s jazz. Those CDs are often $4.99, or $5.99 with AutoRip.

I do like this new (to the UK) feature. I just got 8% back on a purchase of an LED lightbulb. I can wait an extra three days.

I don't know if this is a new "feature" of Prime No-Rush Shipping credits, but it was the first time this has happened to me. I had a $1 credit and it got used when I "bought" a Kindle book that should have been free. In the past when this happened I got my refund but lost the credit. This time the credit magically "reappeared." I hadn't done anything new to get a credit (I think), so unless I've missed something you can get your credit back when you get a refund on an item.

Well, that will slow the number of orders I place considerably. I was actively seeking things to order at Amazon as opposed to elsewhere in order to take advantage of the digital offer. Without that, I'll likely go back to just ordering stuff when I need it.

This won't affect how often I order, or what I order, but being able to get an e-book credit was the only thing that made me consider using no-rush shipping.

After all, I'm paying for it through Prime, so they need to offer me *something* of value not to use it.

That's all that made me consider no-rush shipping as well. On my last order, I noticed the choice of shipping preference and picked "Ship each item as soon as possible" because I was unhappy I couldn't get the credit I wanted.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as Prime Pantry. Is it brand-new?

I'm not really seeing any prices on stuff that would lure me away from my local shops, but some $6 credits on top might be nice. Probably not willing-to-opt-for-slow-shipping nice, though.

I spotted the offer back in November 2014. Since then I've got £26 in promotional credit by choosing 'no-rush' shipping instead of using my next day prime shipping.

Ah ... so with one $5.99 slow-shipment credit, I could order my consumables online for a similar price to what I could get them for at the store (2-minutes away)? Still not enticing me.

I've no problem with slower-than-normal shipping in exchange for something worthwhile (I often used it for the ebook credits), but when the $6 credit doesn't actually earn me any practical savings in the long run... then I'll stick with the free two-day shipping, thanks!

Perhaps those who can't easily get to a decent market (or who live far enough in the boondocks to be exploited by the only One-Stop-Shop in town) will find the offer attractive, however. I'm sure they've done their due-marketing-diligence.

I think *this* may be their due-marketing-diligence - if they can't entice people to use it with free shipping, it's not worth continuing. It seems like a way to get people used to using Prime Pantry so they might want to continue using it without the credit.
