Amazon Prime "No Rush Shipping" changes - Page 11

I just ordered a cheap case for a Kindle Touch. Since it's going to be a Christmas present, I decided not to get the 2-day shipping, and instead take a little more time and get the credit. I don't need it for quite some time, after all.

I ordered a refurbished Paperwhite yesterday morning, two day shipping (Prime). Here it is 3 in the afternoon of the next day and it hasn't shipped, estimated Saturday delivery has been changed to Tuesday. I should have went with the no hurry shipping, doesn't seem to be much difference so far.

I would call CS and loudly voice your protest. YOu pay $100 a year for this service; they need to be called to account when they don't deliver.

was wondering about the no rush free credit , but for what i orderd it was ok.
but might be a problem for others.

so was wondering how much this is in uk? ( just orderd a few items and cant remember what it said)

OP here. I ordered this Thursday, and today, Saturday, it still was not shipped. It was not even in the process of getting ready to ship. I cancelled the order and ordered a new Paperwhite and one hour later it was being prepared for shipping. I wonder if they are out of the refurbished units?
Well, they were only 20 dollars more so I don't mind ordering a new one. But I do not appreciate paying $99 dollars for Prime and the order still isn't even being processed three days later. The item description for the refurbished Paperwhite does say it is in stock.

Sorry, just ranting. I know this really doesn't have anything to do with this thread.

I don't understand why you wouldn't call customer service about this. Surely they would have offered you a credit; they gave me a $10 credit even when I didn't ask for it and the fault was completely that of my local inept post office.

Just tried out the no rush shipping and it was fine.
I can see it being an issues for others though.

I placed two orders on the 16th. They were shipped on the 18th and arrived on the 20th.
The only difference is that they took 2 days to get the order together before shipping it.

However - I will admit that the shipping in my area (not just from amazon) is phenomenal.

I used to live in a neighboring city and there were always delays (and the mail carriers would "borrow" any subscriptions from me - I had received obviously opened netflix DVDs, gamefly games, AND magazines that had the covers almost completely torn off and had obviously been read -pages bent and such.
I would complain to the companies and they were always very accommodating, I felt like a total ass when I moved and all of these problems stopped.

I ordered all of my Christmas presents in plenty of time, and I often used "no-rush shipping."

As a result, I had $19 in digital credits today. Some of them were to expire on Wednesday, and others not until March.

I didn't bother to go through my emails to check the expiration dates. I spent the $19 today on 7 Kindle books.

So I've got no complaints.

Catlady, it's been my casual observation that the CDs with AutoRip cost a dollar more than those without. Have you noticed that?

I was pleased to find that this option has become available for UK Prime members, and with a £1 credit, not a $1 credit!
