Apple will sell you a special color-matching bag to carry the adapters for $39.

Pretty safe bet that USB-3 hubs with power adapters will be very common with the new Mac

I've heard about Betamax and have been meaning to check it. I hear it's better than VHS and will win the tape war. And that recorder; look how sleek and small it is. I can take it on vacation with me.

I am interested in the features of the Apple Sport watch for its fitness training features. I think this will be a large portion of their market. Runners are used to paying $300+ for a GPS-enabled watch. Here is a summary of the Apple Watch features from a running perspective. I really like the strapless heart rate monitoring feature, but I will wait until early adopters report back on how effective it is. It will also have to be proven to be waterproof before I took it out on a kayak.

Apple defines the Apple Watch battery life here. According to the page, the “all-day battery life is based on 18 hours with the following use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use, and a 30-minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth, over the course of 18 hours.”

The page is buried deep in the Apple Watch product page. Apple clearly does not foresee selling the Watch based on its battery life.

For specific usage, the life varies. Apple states that the Watch’s battery can last up to seven hours during a workout when heart rate sensor is turned on. When playing back music, the battery will last up to 6.5 hours and up to 3 hours when the Watch is used for phone calls. However, if the Watch is used as a watch, the battery can last up to 48 hours.

There is nothing in that description that matches what Tim said in the keynote address, and certainly doesn't match your first post on the subject.

Actually JSWolf nailed it.

Forty-five minutes of app use and only thirty minutes of music play.
For most people active enough to shell out for a smart watch that is absurdly low usage.
It is fair to call it a lie.

So, be honest.
How many people wanting a wrist remote for their tablet or phone actually would only run stuff for an hour and fifteen minutes per day?

6.5 hours of music playback.

Here are the official numbers from Apple, measured, not speculated.

http://www.apple.com/watch/battery.html

Bash the product after its in the hands of users. I'm sure there will be plenty of issues. No need to invent them ahead of time.

From that exact same page, and as quoted by JSWolf already;

Quote:

It looks like they get up to 6.5 hours music playback if absolutely nothing else is done with the watch - is that likely in a real world scenario?

I cannot understand why the A W even needs to play music. The darn thing requires an iPhone to work, therefore you could just as easily play music on your iPhone. You would have to use a BT headset with the A W as no one would want a wire running to their wrist even if it had the speaker port, but you could use BT or wired headsets with the iPhone.

From the number reported by Techcrunch and even Apple, this 18 hours of battery life is a big over exaggeration. With enough use, it's might not even last 9 hours.

It sounds like 6-9 hours while continuously running an app is what can be expected. That is approx the same battery life as many GPS watches.

No, it's not at all likely. Given that the iWatch requires an iPhone to work, why on Earth would anyone play music on their watch rather than the iPhone? There's no reason at all, that I can fathom, that anyone is likely to spend 6.5h a day playing music on their watch.

One reason to play music on the watch is that when the watch and the phone are on the same network, they can be connected via WiFi and you don't need to have the phone with you. Right now, the phone is near by and if it rang or I get a text, I could go get it and answer/respond. but it's not close enough to listen to music with.
