I may try that some time, Stitch. It sounds interesting and not too difficult.

That sounds like fun, I will certainly try this. I will need to get thicker gel medium since the one I have is very fluid.

There is a change in vacation plans.
I had planned to go on a trip on my own in August/September. My sister, however, wants to join me since she isn't going on a longer vacation with her friends this year. On the one hand that's great (it's cheaper when travelling together). On the other hand, I'm one of those persons that need to spend time on my own.

My sister and I are thinking of going to Kopenhagen, or maybe Poland. For a trip by myself I'm now planning to go to Antwerp again for a couple of days in April or May and treat myself to a more expensive hotel than I normally would. Maybe I'll go on short solitary trip to Newcastle by boat in November.

Not difficult at all! Just needs a bit of care to follow the artist's brush strokes. If you can find some art work printed on canvas, it REALLY comes out looking nice, but heavy paper works too! But as Bianca says, you DO need a really this gel medium to make this work, and use a stiff brush too so that the brush hair shows up in each stroke.

So what are you doing RIGHT NOW?

Taking pictures from the window of my daughter's hospital room. The building in the center of the picture was the White House of the Confederacy during the War between the States.

My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia in September. I kept it to myself for months, but finally revealed it in this post, as my frequent absences seemed to require an explanation.

Pretty much"staying the course" and trying to get her counts back up so she can go home for a while. At the moment we're watching Jeopardy.

I lived that movie. I was the lifeguard at the 'Lach Sheldrake Inn,' in the Catskill Mts, for the summer of 1964. Although the movie was filmed in North Carolina, the Lach Sheldrake Inn looked almost identical, with the same style of cabins, lodge, lake, and dinning room, as well as the very same 'cast of characters!' I can put a 'real name' to each character in the movie, from dance teachers, band leader, waiters, and even the smarmy son of the owner! What a fantastic summer that was! I was 18 yrs old, going off to college in the fall, and a walking hormone placed in just the right setting! God bless 'Bungalow Bunnies!'

Decided that after my trip to London next week I'm going to treat myself to a couple of Stampin' Up card kits to get started in card making. I also want to get a set of their ink pads but I can't choose between the two I want. I might just save up a little longer and get both. This paper crafting is seriously addictive.

One of the biggest problems I have with many of my craft hobbies is that after a while, you have so many of the objects, you just don't know what to do with them! I'd love to try my hand at glass blowing/sculpture, but what would I do with 237 little glass horses, ships, Flamingos, and bells?

What do you do with all these cards you make?

Luckily cards don't take up too much space. I'll send some/most of them and if my cards container is threatening to get full I'll probably bundle cards together and give them to friends and family.
