Quexos, I don't know about a book about anti- matter, but I'm pretty sure you could get it at the Acme store on Planet X. That's where Marvin the Martian got his supply of Uranium Pu-36. He told Bugs Bunny, that the Earth was blocking his view of Venus

Procrastinating.
I still need to clean up my desk; I hardly have any space to work on my projects anymore but I hate doing it. Whilst procrastinating I'm looking at cameras, again. I'm going backwards and forwards between the Sony DSC-HX400V (50x zoom, wifi, gps) and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 (F2.8 even at full zoom, battery last longer, big brother of my current camera). |

I've decided this weekend is film weekend. Last night I watched The Barrens (crappy horror) and The Judge (not what I thought it would be, but extremely good).
I'm now trying to decide what to watch tonight. Again I first want to watch a horror film and after that something not so scary. The second film will most likely be The Lincoln Lawyer and for the first I'm trying to decide between The Chernobyl Diaries and The Poughkeepsie Tapes. |

Lately, I've been watching a lot of series, so I decided to take a break and the next week or so I'm going to watch films that have been lingering on my TBV list. |

Quexos: (guess I'm a few days late here)
You've come to the right place. However, a couple of hundred pounds may be a bit of a stretch. [And in fact, we've moved on to the next greatest thing, and we're not doing anti matter any more; it's old hat. Ya have to go to CERN for that. But anyway ... ] http://www.fnal.gov Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory [protons] We're now specializing in neutrinos. Go to Minnesota or South Dakota if you want to catch what we're throwing. (SD still under construction. MN just starting up, I think) Last edited by badgoodDeb; 02-09-2015 at 02:46 PM. |

Making my own travel journal.
I love to keep travel journals of my trips and in the past I bought ready made ones. The drawback was that either a journal was meant for one trip, and since mine are at the most a week long I didn't use half of the journal. Or, when they were meant for multiple trips there wasn't enough space per trip for journalling. Today I bought a notebook with blank pages and a brown paper hard cover. I first treated the back of the cover and the spine with gel medium to make it (hopefully) a bit more stain and moisture resistant. Just now I used gel medium to stick travel themed journalling cards on the front. When that's dry I'll put a pocket in the back to keep receipts, tickets and other small memorabilia in. I've got a die that can cut tabs and I'll use those to separate each trip. I'm still thinking of decorating the inside of the cover, but I'm not sure yet. |

Here's something you might enjoy... Find an art print of a picture in which the artist used well defined brush strokes (such as 'Starry Night.') Using gel medium and a stiff brush, paint over the print following the brush strokes as much as possible using lots of gel. When it dries, it will appear that this was actually painted, rather than a print! Easy to make pretty decorations that look like original works of art!
