I've never had a Windows phone; I went from a Pocket PC/Bluetooth flip phone/GPS receiver combination to an Android phone. I still kind of miss the Pocket PC so I think the Lumia 520 might be an easy way to revisit Windows. At this price I couldn't resist it.

If the GPS app is as good as the reviews indicate, the Lumia will be dedicated to GPS duty for me. I hate the way turning on GPS runs down a phone battery. $20 for an extra phone beats $100 for a new Garmin, which was my other alternative.

Speaking of Amazon deals, the Fire HDX 8.9 is listed as an upcoming deal for tomorrow, starting in about 3.5 hours.

I got the phone too. I wasn't going to get it, but then I remembered I had a $10 credit sitting in my account. So now I have a $10 MP3/ streaming radio player.

Oh I just read this phone works on Straight Talk just need a Sim card so if I don't like it I can gift it to my Hubby to destroy I mean use.
