Lights off




Lights on



Is ths normal?

I know ereader are not perfectly white.
I have seen a PW1 and it was greyish not yellowish.

Is everyone's PW2 like this?

I have given a picture of text book and paperback book for reference.

Can someone post a pic of theiir PW2 against a white background like me.
It will be very helpful

My PW2 is yellow even without the light.Is this normal?

My PW2 screen is white white. But it looks like your screen is misaligned at top right?

No that is ust relection of white light on the bezel.

Does the screen look too yellow to you?

The best way I can describe how yellow the screen is it is like a new paperback book.

Oops I compared against my Voyage which I forgot doesn't have a bezel

As for your screen being yellow, everyone sees these things differently and the only thing that matters is whether you like your screen or not. Some prefer white, some prefer more neutral colors.

If you're not satisfied with your PW, return it to Amazon for an exchange.

I dont know how a PW2 screen is supposed to be.What use would it be to get a replacement and get the same yellow screen??

So I am asking if this yellow is normal or not

Yes, it is normal. It's not the screen that's yellow - it's the frontlight. Turn the light to its minimum and you should find that the screen is a neutral grey.

Some people like it very much that way, especially for night time reading since it's easier on the eyes (google "f.lux" and see what I'm talking about). There's even a thread on how to make it a darker colour like orange/brown: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=249464

the paperback is light yellow((Like paperbacks are)

I have no problem at night with the lights on.
Its the daylight reading I dont like
As you can imagine a "white" back ground would look brighter and provide more contrast

What does it look like with the frontlight on a reasonably high setting? That's the way Amazon intend the PW to be used in daylight (not direct sunlight, of course, but inside, in daylight).
