Poetic sent one of my Revolution cases for the HD 6. I've sent them a note asking when I can expect the other. I hope they didn't forget about it! I need them both!

They do have a 3 yr manufacturer's warranty. I haven't put the case on the device yet, but even if the port cover has to be cut off, I still think it must be the most protective case I can get for my girls' Fires.

Does anyone use a screen protector with the HD6? I got an awful one off ebay so I'm reluctant to order another one without a recomendation. The one I got was a fraction too big so it didn't stick at the edges. I usually use mediadevil but they aren't making one for the HD6

Of course by the time I realised this it was too late as I'd stuck it down. Had to take it off an throw it away.

There are a couple mentioned in this thread that work well.

The Moshi is awesome. I got it but returned it, because I needed anti glare

Mr Shield is the one I got, and I like it very much.

Thanks but the Moshi is far too expensive and the Mr Shield isn't available in the UK

Has anyone any recomendations for screen protectors for the HD 6 that are available in the UK. The one I got from ebay is too big and the make I normally buy isn't making one.

Nope. I bought atFolix ones which were awful, so my HD is without a screen protector right now.

I always use mediadevil, so in desperation I've emailed them with the HD 6 size and asked them for the closest size I can cut down.

I'm winging it w/o case or screen protector. It makes me crazy when the ancillary stuff adds up to a colossal percentage of the purchase price of the gadget itself. Sheer extortion. At some point if I see a super cheap sleeve I'll get it; in the meantime it travels in the sleeper bag that came with a small purse.

I don't use screen protectors on any of my tablets.

iLLumiShield Fire HD 6 is what I used. Matte reduces screen glare and it was an easy application...

I just put the Revolution on one of my DDs' Fires. Super nice! It will really protect their devices. I would like it, if they had one with a matte (anti-glare) screen protector. That would be awesome.

I have to say the K6 I got on Black Friday sale is just so cute. I love it. Perfect size for reading.

I am using it without a case and I have never used screen protectors on any of my devices. I'd be worried about the glue on my nice screen and also, there is no way I could that that thing on straight enough to make me happy. I remember the drama when I put a skin on my kindle keyboard years ago. Holy moly that took forever. My hands shake too much for that.

I would also worry about it getting blurry with another layer on it.

I got it cheap enough that I don't have to worry. I mean really, I never scratched the screen of any of my devices, including the expensive K1 I have had since 2008.

I think it also hinders my touch screen abilities. I am one of those touch screen challenged folks. I can't explain it. It just is.

I was surprised though at how heavy the little Fire feels. Its so spiffy though. I have the very first Fire, the original one and a 2012 8.9. This little thing is so snappy. And I love how the kindle app looks and the features. I like it more than the android app on my Nexus. Smoother. Of course its integrated so that's probably it.
Feels really sturdy too.
