I got rid of my carousel problem by pushing the favorites to the top. Now it always opens up to my favorites. Still not sure if I'll load another launcher.

I received by OMOTON Fire HD 6 Tablet Case Cover - 360 Degree Rotating Case with Auto Sleep/ Wake Feature for Fire HD 6 Tablet (2014 Released 6" inch Tablet), Purple case a couple of days ago. It has it good and bad points but considering the price a good case at a good price. You can read my review on amazon under the name Elizabeth.

I just ordered the 6" Fire that was on sale today for $79. Yay! I'm so excited! It doesn't have much memory, but I use my iPad for stuff that needs memory. I want something to read Kindle, Nook, and mainly Scribd books on. Maybe I'll stream some music and movies occasionally. I won't use it for games or apps. But I like the idea of being able to take one small item around that I can use for those three book sources. Oh yeah and that I can use to browse library e-books with.

I've got Moon Reader free from 1Market and it works fine but I hate the adds. According to the Amazon UK App Store there isn't a version compatible so is their a safe way to get a non add free version? I don't want to pay for a version and then not be able to save it or get updates. I do have the paid version on Google Play but I don't have another Android device to get it on.

I don't get why apps that come from 1Market work fine yet the Amazon App Store says they aren't compatible or they aren't even there

I can't find another reader on the Amazon App Store at all.

To get Moon+ Pro on your Kindle Fire you will need another Android device in which you can install the Amazon App store. Once you do that you can install Moon+ Pro on that device then back it up to apk using ES File Explorer and sideload it on the KF6. You will need to do this each time to update though. This is how I do it on my Kindle Fires.

That is the only way you can get the paid version that I know of. You might want to look into a cheap android phone for like $20 so you can sideload paid apps.

Congrats! Good choice! It's a great reading device, it really is.

If you turn the wifi off before you open Moon Reader, do you still get ads?

I have a number of free games that I enjoy. If the wifi is off, no ads. Wifi on, I get ads right on top of my game. Ugh!

If I could get an Android phone that cheap I would consider it but over here it's around £40 that's probably about $60 dollars to get even a basic model.

I've actually worked out how to download Apks to my pc and side load them this afternoon but I can't do it for the paid apps I own on Google Play as the Kindles don't have a valid Andoid ID

I must admit it's soured me a bit towards my Fire and I doubt I'd buy another one before I've sorted it out buy getting another android device.

Give it a try. It worked for me for Mantano and Moon Reader Pro, both apps which I own as paid apps on Google play and which work on my fire.

It won't work. I have tried three app download sites and none of them will download paid apps without a device ID which I don't have. The Kindle HD does have an Android Device ID, I installed the app 'Device ID' to obtain it, but according to those sites it's not a proper one so it won't work.

I don't have another android device to use. It's anoying as I did once have a Nook HD and I bought loads of apps that I can't touch now.
