I eventually got this, after a bad experience with a universal case bought on Ebay that left small dents on two corners of the H2O...
I'm pretty happy with it so far, it feels nice and looks more expensive than it is. The magnets are strong, so the front cover won't open accidentally, but if you fold it back it puts the reader in sleep mode. It doesn't bother me much as I usually put a finger in between, and since the spine is not rigid, you could also fold the cover back in a way that doesn't activate the magnet. Inside, there's a flap with a strip of velcro holding the reader in place. The opening on the front is just right for the screen. Hope this was helpful! |

You can easily solve it by putting a small rectangle of ferromagnetic metal, such as steel, behind the reader in the case, so it shields the magnet. I used a rectangle cut from the lid of a tin of soup to fix my Gecko cover, which had the same problem. Wrap the metal in a paper towel, or something similar, so it doesn't scratch the back of the H2O. Note that it has to be a ferromagnetic material, so something like aluminium foil won't work. |

Fintie Case
I purchased a Fintie case off ebay and it fits perfectly. I've used Fintie cases before and they are good quality. Latching magnet is not too strong and the wakeup feature works perfectly. Also, for you cover-folder-overers, there is no issue.

Thank you for that review. I now have decided what case to get for my H2O. I'm going to get a Fintie. Just have to decide what color I want.

Just received my Fintie H2O case, ordered from Amazon. I got Purple; it's a bit darker than the picture shows, but overall it's more solid than the Kobo H2O sleepcover or the Tsmile case. I've found a winner (unless Mulbess releases an H2O cover)!

I also bought the Fintie cover (from amazon.de); it's really nice, but when I fold it over it makes the reader sleep.

I usually buy cheap covers on Ebay, I often order two and just keep the prettiest while selling the other. (there's lots of ppl here who want a cheap cover asap or don't use Ebay, so re-selling usually isn't a problem) This time I put both on sale and ordered two Finties on Amazon.de, a navy blue and a purple one. Of course the uglier Fintie will go also on sale

EDIT: I moved it down and now it works - apparently I didn't cover the right place ![]() Thanks again! [for anybody else having this problem - the magnetic sensor seems to be in the lower right corner of the screen; in the end I used a rather small piece of metal - less than 1 cm^2] Last edited by psv; 12-01-2014 at 03:37 PM. |

Point being that a number of people here have bought Fintie covers and do not have the problem of the reader sleeping when the front is folded back, so psv probably has a defective one.

Oh, I entirely agree that it's faulty. All I'm saying is that fixing it is less hassle than returning it; it takes about 2 minutes to do.
