on the .de page there was last week a 7 HDX 2014. I am very sure of that. The HDX 7 version that is now on super sale is the second one in this list. please note the denomination: "Vorgänger Modell" which means old model.

When you click on it, it brings you to the offer, where the denomination "Vorgänger Modell" is not to be seen. But neither is "2014 Modell", which was there last week.

There might have never actually been a 2014 HDX 7 Modell, but it has been advertised as such in Germany. Blunder maybe.

Interesting. Maybe someone at Amazon prematurely posted a new version of the HDX 7 and when they discovered the mistake, they pulled it. Things like this have happened before.

One thing is certain, Amazon has totally screwed up their naming. What they're doing now confuses people. What they should've done from the get go was this:

Fire Series

Fire 1
Fire 2

Fire HD Series

Fire HD 6-1

Fire HD 7-1
Fire HD 7-2
Fire HD 7-3

Fire HD 8-1

Fire HDX Series

Fire HDX 7-1

Fire HDX 8-1
Fire HDX 8-2

That would make too much sense.

No idea if that's what they're up to; but if it is, maybe they had production problems.

I like my HD 6 also, but I need my case so I use it properly.

Mine says the same phrases. But when you take the tracking number over to the USPS site, that's when I get the other message I quoted, about the label being created.

I still think they are waiting on the boat from China to arrive.
