I have watched some videos on it, it is just great.. !!!

After what you have said, plus the fact that a refurb probably would not have a great battery, at least not as great as new, I decided against buying one and will maybe get another HD6

My black 16GB Fire HD 6 arrived yesterday and I opened it today. Still waiting for the case to arrive. The speaker is a bit on the weak side and could be louder. Otherwise, it's a great little tablet for consuming content.

My primary use for it will be music and audiobooks. It'll also be my take-along device for waiting rooms (mostly games). An occasional video and web surfing will round out it's uses.

Now for the fun part - downloading apps and logging in to the websites.

Yeah my cases are still in limbo. They printed out the labels last Monday, so I have a tracking number, but they haven't actually sent them, yet. Maybe still waiting for the cargo ship from China? Well as long as they get here before Christmas, I'm happy.

It's hard to say. Fires were on sale last year during Cyber Sun and Mon. Some models sold out on Sun.

I would've jumped on this sale today, if it weren't for the fact that I got my 16GB HD 6 for $79 during that $40 off Kindle-Prime promo. Additionally, I no longer have to worry about getting it at my grocery store. So now I can take my time and shop leisurely when I go there on Fri.

I sent back a HD6 as the iOS apps were better than the functionality but I really wanted the TTS as it syncs with my Voyage. Now the HDX 7 is half price (and the cases) I'm tempted again. Apart from TTS and Calibre Companion what can the HDX offer me to it make it worth buying. I have an iPhone and iPad mini.

I can get the 16GB for £100 or the 32GB for £130. The cases are £20/25

I bought the HDX 7. I got the 32GB w/special offers wifi and the red origami case.

The HDX is last years one. What is tricky is that you only see that once it is in your cart, just before endclicking.

The new HDX (2014) have a much snappier processor, the one which is on promotion in Germany, the UK and the US is the 2013 model.

In the UK store the only 2014 HDX is the 8.9", the 7 is the 3rd generation, 2013. I know its last years thats why its half price.

Has anyone confirm what HDX 2014 LEDs colors are this year? Not that I need another tablet but I like to be informed. I know 2013 are Blue and horrible discoloration on that tablet.
