I actually have come to like the carousel. It's a nice shortcut without having to go into sub-menus for recently read books and such.
But one thing I did not like and quickly removed was the suggested items beneath the carousel.

Thanks; but after clearing 30 items, another 30 appear. It's pointless, since I have so much content. Thankfully, I have my launcher set as my home screen.

I really like the quote share option in Sangrea. Years ago I requested that Amazon allow us to copy and paste short quotes from their ebooks, so very happy to see this. It is also a bit self-serving as it sends a link back to the Amazon book with the quote. But I can't blame them for that.

Here I am, sitting in bed, watching Revenge on my tiny tablet (but watching it without trouble although the screen is tiny) while my kids are watching Lords of the ring for the Nth time next to me and I don't have to see it..again.. mind you I do stop my Fire everytime Viggo Mortensen is on screen, but hey, who would not..

Awesome! I can't wait to hear what you think of it. As for sales, I doubt the Fire 6 16 GB will go on sale. Could happen, but I bet they are not having any problem moving those.
