I've considered getting a TPU case. I've almost dropped mine twice now. I was hoping I wouldn't need one.

I'll have to take a look at the case you got. I'll get clear so my lovely citron back shows. Does it make the Fire 6 feel bulky?

No it doesn't feel bulky to me, at all. It's very slim.

I'll have to try it on the Blue Fire 6 and see if the color shows through.

Eta. No. I can't see the color of the device. This "clear" shell is a translucent grey.

i just got told " no more discussing kindle hd 6 or 7 tonight " by my partner.

so do u think im close enough to getting one. if so which should i get

really need 16 gb cus i currently using 12 on my kindle fire hd 2012

so what do u all think

second question is the mono on the 6 that bad. cus i listen to my ebooks and that what will swing it. also need a case unlese i can use my current or old case

i have a kindle 2 and a kindle keyboard

I'm going with the HD6 because of its size. I don't need another 7" tablet. The HD6 will be my every day "out of the house" tablet. It'll go with me when I visit family and friends; or when I need something to keep me busy in a waiting room. If it works out sound-wise, it may end up being my primary streaming device for use around the house. If I use it that way, I'll pass my HD7 (2012) on to a family member. For a case, I went with the Poetic Revolution. Lots of protection while still maintaining a slim profile.

Yeah, I went with the HD 6 because of the size too. My iPad Mini took over laptop duty, and I sold my Paperwhite because while it was great for reading, the other features didn't work so well on it - Highlighting, word lookup, etc.

I've only been using mine with Umano so far and it sounds fine. Your 2012 is much better in that regard.

You can't use the old case.

I don't think, for audio books, it would make any difference if the speaker is mono or not. For music and movies, yes it would matter. But not for audio books.

In any case, if you plan to use headphones, the fact that it has a mono speaker is irrelevant.

I recommend the 6". I love mine!

Thank you so much for sharing that information. I guess I'll have to take my chances and be more careful. I really want my back color to show. The only times I've nearly dropped it, I was picking it up quickly and not really watching what I was doing. I know better...

There is like 6 apps now. They want to us to work for those pennies! They keep cutting the limit on the mobile apps. I run mine on my Samsung Galaxy Player 5.
