Yes and alot of people here love it but it wasn't for me. If the text was black maybe but it's grey I need dark text to read with. It's Sepia for me.

I was able to go to music settings, and clear the cache and recently listened to, so that big bar is gone.

But there is still a bar that shows the Amazon music icon on swipe down. And the little tiny triangular thing, which resembled the pointer on a oija board, has not gone away.

Just got back from the grocery store and while I was there, I decided to check out the HD 6. Unlike Best Buy, they had one on display. Man, that thing is small. I definitely like the size.

Your grocery store had one on display?

BTW I powered the Fire off and back on, and that music stuff disappeared.

Yep; it's a Pacific Northwest chain of superstores called Fred Meyer. It's owned by Kroger. It's one of two stores I actually go to on Black Friday. The other one is Costco.

Nice. We just have Super Walmart, with their electronics dept. They have leftover Kindles, but none of the newer ones. (They even have some leftover Sony 300's, which are a lot of years discontinued)

One thing I didn't realize and haven't seen mentioned here is that the Kids Edition is not a Special Offers version. I was delighted to discovere that when I got one for my household.

So that makes the price point of the Kids Edition just that much better vs a Built-It-Yourself (in the 8gb).

Interesting. Another thing to note about the kids version is that it only comes in black; the cases come in colors - blue, green, pink.

Good - I don't use Spotify. I prefer AOL Radio, TuneIn Radio, Live365, Pandora, and YouTube.

Pandora has too many ads. I use Slacker and TuneIn.

My favorite streaming radio site is AOL Radio. It's owned by Slacker and quite a bit of the content is the same on both sites. I prefer AOL because it's laid out better. It's also easier to navigate and quit.

I have the new KFHD6 with offers. Love the size!

I installed the latest version of Nova Launcher and keep trying to make it the default, but everytime I hit the "home" button it asks if which browser I want to use, the Nova or the Kindle launcher...

Has anyone got this to work?
