I did the factory reset. Didn't seem to help any.
I downloaded one video, took 2 hours to complete. Then the device tells me it's not there. So I suspect there is a memory issue.

I'm calling tomorrow.

It sounds like it's defective to me. Do call and remember ask for a Kindle Specialist. They have higher authority than regular support and probably can get you a replacement sooner.

So far, only Amazon has the colors in stock. Best Buy has them listed as pre-orders.

Called Amazon and they said there was no way they could offer me a Citron HD 6 without ads. My replacement would be late November. So I asked about another color. Blue was in the same time range and Magenta... 2 to 4 months. White and black were the only color choices in 16GB without ads.

So I said just refund my money when the tablet arrives. I may be able to find one at Staples or Best Buy before late November.

This may be hard to find at Christmas.

Most likely they were thinking the black would sell early and the color sales would increase closer to the holidays.

They should have held some in stock to address issues such as Mycurlylocks is experiencing. Almost a month to replace is not very customer friendly.

It comes down to how rough you will be on the little guy. I would put a case on one for a kid. I'm fairly careful with my gadgets. I need it to be pocketable so I want no extra bulk a case brings. It is very solid. Feels like it can take some bumps. I might regret it down the road, but I'm rolling the dice. Will be my only tab without a case. I have 4 tabs and a phone with cases.
