It would also help if for all the text, the color to 16 level gray mapping was made a bit aggressive towards displaying darker shades, since currently, the text which is greyed out in the menus etc is just about unreadable.

Here's a new battery test of mine. 5 days without shuting down, wifi off except for a few short bursts to download books. screen was on with minimum backlight for 2 full days (8-10 hours I'd say) and a couple of hours the other 3 days.

Went from 100% to 59%. Pretty respectable.


(note that the screen on, awake and wifi indicators at the bottom of the screen do not show true data)

Anyway, I sent it back yesterday (for the TS problem). Expecting replacement tomorrow.

Dear Booxtor,
thank you for implementing scribble export.
Unfortunately I have found a problem with my M96.
Firstly, the export only seems to work on a second attempt. If you try once, the exported file is identical to the original with no scribbles present.

On the second attempt the scribbles are present but most elements from the original PDF are gone . Sometimes this happens on just the first page.

Here is an example where it almost worked:

Sometimes all pages are like the first page.
Please could you take a look and try to fix it.

On another topic, you probably know already but the Onyx Scribbler app has no export option, which limits its usefulness greatly.

Lastly, it would be great if you could manually search the device for new books without having to restart. I have books coming in over BTSync but I don't see them until the OS looks for them.

@M96user: I could not replicate this problem on many PDFs I tried (except yours) so it seem to be problem of this particular document. I have forwarded this file to our engineers to try to allocate the bug.

We work on similar solution (gamma correction) for system level to be able to adjust general contrast. It is in the task list for one of the next updates

There are a few problems with the dictionary usage in neo reader:

1. A highlighted word is bordered with two arrows. The arrows cover the adjacent words so that further reading is interfered. Please remove the arrows.

This feature is very disturbing and it forced me to go back and use the m92 instead of the m96.

2. The windows that appear contains various menu items in a way that increases the window size and cover the text. Please make the menu items and the window size smaller.

3. The only option for a dictionary is the onyx dictionary. Please enable the usage of other dictionaries like goldendict.

4. When a page is turned and the dictionary window is in the upper part of the page, it remains in the upper part and covers the text at the beginning of the page. The window should jump to the lower part of the page.

5. It is not clear if the dictionary engine uses the "syn" file. It seem to me that it does not. The dictionary engine does not always recognizes conjugated words (the various morphological forms is contained in the "syn" file).

NOTE: The dictionary in m92 contains all these improvements. Why reinvent the wheel and make a new reader with worse features than the previous?

could you please remind me what was the problem with bookmarks? I just missed somehow this issue in reports

Regarding change log - it is a little bit difficult now. I can point you on some important (IMHO) new features or fixes (especial in NEO Reader, because I am mainly focused on development of this app) but for the next update I will try to prepare more detailed change log.

I had no problem instaling the new update...
Did you put the update file in the root folder?
Not in a SD card.

If it's so then maybe Booxtor could know what happens
