More of the Lapsang Souchong. Yummy, almost makes m look forward to the wet.
We had a doozy of a storm Saturday. Got to the farmers market on Saturday in beautiful sunshine but across the inlet and over the mountains it looked like Mordor. The black descended quickly and I was drenched crossing the street. Almost just as quickly it cleared up again. Reminded me of Colorado.

It's cooling down quite quickly today. I've had my door to the catio open all summer, finally had to close it last night. There's an open window behind one of the cat trees that I'm really struggling to get closed. Might have to move some furniture to get to it

Two more outages since that first one, and the storm centre has moved south of here. Over Vancouver right now.

Cranberry juice, from frozen concentrate.

That must have pretty much headed due east we had a few showers overnight but nothing serious, and we normally get it in spades when it's happening

Lots of batteries for the GoPro Stitch, they burn through them like there is no tomorrow.

Green Puerh today.

This weekend was great. Apple picking, smores, backyard camping, and general fun. Little Man was most excited to see the tractors at the farm and ride behind one to the orchards. He loved the smores and made it the entire night in the tent. He did check in with Big Man a couple of times to make sure that he was still there and asked Big Man not to leave him a few times. So he was equally excited and nervous/scared with the new experience. He came running into the bedroom to sleep with me at 7 AM (I stayed inside with the dogs) very excited and took a four hour long nap due to the lack of sleep/excitement of the latest adventure.

It is amazing watching him grow. Talk about a blessing

Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea. Today has dawned with lots of blue sky and no rain at all. Unlike last night, when the remnants of that storm blew down a tree across the power lines and knocked us out for nearly 8 hours. But since I was asleep for 6 of them, hard to complain.

Blue skies, mountains, and winding roads... Unbranded Keemun tea, a good motorcycle, and my favorite traveling companion! Who could ask for more? Breakfast now, getting ready to ride! Helmet? Check! Body armor? Check! Helmet communicators? Check! Camera helmet secure? Check! Batteries? Check, check, check, check...

You're not kidding! I bought six, but when I get home I'll buy four more. Yesterday I had to find a shop selling memory cards too. I'm shooting high res and 64gig lasts just Agee hours! Already have 16 hours shot. Should edit down to a good five minutes!

A last mug of tea with dinner. Not really doing anything worth video-documenting.

Lapsang Souchong this morning, along with some Peet's Major Dickason's Blend coffee. And I suspect it's still not going to get me moving.

Frozen Summit right now, started the day with Blue Spring Oolong. Love both of them. I make a pot at home and bring it in using a thermos. Then I make more at work. Love this practice. I get to have two to three teas a day.

Just got home from Illinois locked the front door oh boy!
Got to sit down take a rest on the porch
Imagination sets in pretty soon I'm singin'
Doo doo doo lookin' out my back door

There's a giant doing cartwheels a statue wearin' high heels
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn
A dinosaur Victrola list'ning to Buck Owens
Doo doo doo lookin' out my back door

Be it ever so humble... Good morning, everyone! Home again, with a great big grin on my face. I had forgotten just how much fun riding big motorcycles through the mountains could be! Six-eight hours each day, over high mountain roads as twisty as Christmas ribbon candy. (My shoulders may never be the same! Hard work but worth every minute.) Most of the mountain roads were along the ridge line, so views anywhere you look! Plenty of gentle curving roads as well in between the peaks, and dips down into sweeping valleys filled with small jungle villages and the occasional town. Perfect riding, perfect weather, perfect foods, and perfect companion! Now who could ask for more? This time I even remembered to bring along good teas, so mornings were just fine too!

Today's tea is East India Company's "Assam," and I'm already on my second mug and haven't yet been down to see the Food Lady. I'm feeling the call, though... It's amazing to think that no matter where we stopped to eat along the roads (no McD's or even a Pizza Hut in that part of the world,) eating in small Mom&Pop roadside places (calling them 'shacks' would be accurate) that had 2-3 tables at most, the food was consistently delicious. I have NEVER had a 'bad' meal in Thailand. I've had some that weren't 'great,' but no one single meal that I found unpalatable in the 25 years that I've been coming to Thailand. This contrasts greatly with the fact that we never found one single meal that was eatable in Burma... We often found ourselves just pushing the plate away and searching out a fruit stand... OK... time for the Food Lady!
