I can't see Amazon raising a price point that most people were comfortable with. As someone else stated in the other thread, the price listing was from a German site and could reflect a higher price due to tax. We'll have to wait and see the price for North America.

Yep. Resistance is futile. I will preorder the moment it goes live. If it has issues on release, I can always return it but at least I get to give it a test drive.

300 ppi is nice. I do hope the "intelligent" lighting is intelligent enough to let the user control it as well. It's also about 1 oz lighter than the PW. Not a big difference but I do like the idea of a thinner smaller device with touch page turns on the side. Seems like it will be a very worthy update as long as they don't screw things up on release.

Since it clearly has a high price point, I hope this means that they will release a revamp of the basic at a lower price point. I would be down with the KB becoming 212 ppi and losing a few grams. Maybe the PW2 will become take the place of basic. $119 vs $189(I think that's what I read, although I bet it will be $149 in the US - just a guess) is a much better entry point. Maybe the PW2 will drop to $99.

Just paid a total of 150euros(incl. taxes) for the new pw and waiting for it to be delivered to Greece.

I like my Aura and a Kindle of the same size would be lovely, but, not at the price they are quoting, invariably the 169 euro's becomes £169!

I'd rather buy the Aura H20 for £140 and keep my PW2 and current small Aura.
