Missing Preview Panel whilst Editing

I am delighted with calibre 1.48 - that I learnt about and downloaded a week ago for my iMac (using OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopold). Excellent program for my e-book reading, and I've downloaded a large number of books already.

PROBLEM: Whilst using EDIT BOOK, I find that the 'Preview' panel has suddenly stopped being visible (it appeared yesterday and I used it) and as such, I cannot check the result of any changes made immediately, and have to save and open the book after each change to view the result. I even reloaded the program but no luck. HELP REQUESTED urgently to rectify this sudden problem. Many thanks in advance. (sarkarsweet@gmail.com)

@AshitSarkar - is View->File Preview checked? If not make it so

But being on the wrong (now missing) monitor is another.
