Finally! I said to hey with it. I took the files out and put them in OneDrive then made a Shortcut from OneDrive and put it in the Copy folder. I thought it would have to reup everything but it didn't it did some sort of file comparison then uploaded some more files. It took 3 restarts of copy but it now says 1.5GB before it wouldn't move and said all files up to date.

That sounds like Copy is depending on the filesystem too much. Might be just a simple last modified date is older than last sync date - and Copy thinks it should be up to date. It requiring multiple restarts is not a good sign though.

Other people on Facebook have the same problem. I suspect it's the client as fault which is why I say check and make sure everything is on their server and make sure you back it up somewhere else because copy client could delete those missing files and you'd never know. There's no way through the website to see details of each folder which the other services has. Using a shortcut instead of direct files may be the safest method right now.

I have 3 referrals which show waiting for install or waiting for email verification. Oh well. While the other 15 GB would have been nice, I appreciate the people who did sign up. I have a total of 30GB from referrals.

Thankfully I have had none of the continuing issues with uploading, etc. I have had issues with them in the past, but their customer service was very helpful and things were quickly addressed.

I do think Dropbox is the best, but my account there is so much smaller. And Box has file size limitations. I had to get rid of Spideroak as it caused issues with Calibre (even though I wasn't storing any of my Calibre files there, it caused error messages whenever Calibre wanted to open a new window).

I like the not-all-eggs-in-one-basket approach. And I still use USB drives and DVD-Roms to make extra copies of backups.

I am not big on all these services where I have to get referrals to get something. Its just not my thing and I don't have a social media foot print anyway to get them. I would love to use Drop Box more, but I only have 2.2 GB and I needed something to put my calibre library so I pay $10 a year for 25GB to Amazon Cloud.
Its not as convenient as drop box would be, but I don't need 1TB and don't want to pay $10 a month. I really wish they had smaller plans. Quite a difference between $10 a month and $10 a year.

So I only use Drop box for pictures now. I got the .2 for taking the tour on Drop box, no other way to get more GB without referrals which I don't do. 25-30 GB are at the moment enough for me, so only Amazon Cloud Drive is offering that for a decent price.

What about Google Drive? They are a bit cheaper - I have 15 gb free and there is plans for monthly fees of:
  • 15gb - free
  • 100gb - $1.99/mo
  • 1tb - $9.99/mo
  • 10tb - $99.99/mo
  • 20tb - $199.99/mo
  • 30tb - $299.99/mo

While Amazon is a bit more expensive with yearly rates of:
  • 5gb - free +5gb for personal documents for Kindle
  • 20gb - $10/yr
  • 50gb - $25/yr
  • 100gb - $50/yr
  • 200gb - $100/yr
  • 500gb - $250/yr
  • 1000gb - $500/yr
Looks like if you need more space it is cheaper with Google. Granted the cheapest plan puts you out $24/year, but that is twice the storage of Amazons 50 gb you would need for your goal of 25-30. And while Amazon scales linear, Google on the 1tb and up cuts the price in half again - making it a forth of the cost of Amazon.

Just remember to never use Google drive with your Calibre library. It's not compatible. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=205581

I have got a whole bunch of Dropbox referrals just by leaving my referral link in my signature here on MobileRead.

I just redeemed my Bing Reward for 100Gb for 1 year. It was pretty much instant unlike the other ones you have to wait a few hours to a day to get.

OneDrive 115 GB total storage!

So you get to keep your free space on top of the 100GB.
It's a really great deal. $5 for 100GB for a year you can't beat that.
The only con so far is OneDrive doesn't work on Gingerbread. Dropbox does and I think Copy and Box do too.

I just got 3Gb by installing the Carrousel on my android device... (and 48Gb for two years from that same device thanks to Samsung having a deal with DropBox ) So, I'm good for the next 2 years

Oh I forgot about that. It works fine on mine but I took it off as it drained the battery too much.

Anyone else with Amazon Cloud Drive? Amazon Cloud desktop no longer works and when I went to the download page it tells me it's unavailable for now they are working on a new version. I had to upload through the browser.

I have ACloud and i hope they fix it. Right now the icon is just sitting at updating and for weeks now it never actually finished updating on both of my computers. I can see the files and I see them on the browser cloud, but it just sits there on the desktop program. It used to work fine long time ago, but I have had issues for weeks, months really now.
