Still intelligent beings, though? Admittedly, pretty repulsive ones.

What I know for certain is that the biblical prohibition did not take into account supernatural entities. I guess there's two ways of looking at it -- as a non-humans thing, or a dumb-animals-of-the-field thing. I'm not actually sure that question can be answered to anyone's satisfaction, though. Also, this conversation is is going down some mildly frightening paths, and yes, I know I did it.

Well actually the church is not trying to catch them. They want the coins in circulation. And you cannot collect them either - can't use more than one at a time. At least we don't know about it yet.

And of course you can collect them. Collecting != using. And Nick is pretty good at doing both, actually. (He gets other people to use the others, so it's by proxy.)
