Still intelligent beings, though? Admittedly, pretty repulsive ones.

What I know for certain is that the biblical prohibition did not take into account supernatural entities. I guess there's two ways of looking at it -- as a non-humans thing, or a dumb-animals-of-the-field thing. I'm not actually sure that question can be answered to anyone's satisfaction, though. Also, this conversation is is going down some mildly frightening paths, and yes, I know I did it.

You do realize that the comment regarding Pokemon and the Lost Legion was for the Codex Alera and not about the Dresden Files, right?

Could there be some truth behind it though that Blackened Denariens are somehow pokemonish? I don't know too much about it - but it seems far fetched.

Well actually the church is not trying to catch them. They want the coins in circulation. And you cannot collect them either - can't use more than one at a time. At least we don't know about it yet.

That is not the official party line... OK, I guess you mean the ones who've been tempted?

And of course you can collect them. Collecting != using. And Nick is pretty good at doing both, actually. (He gets other people to use the others, so it's by proxy.)
