@u238110 - See Preferences->Tweaks->Control how dates are displayed
Date is the date you added the 'book' to your calibre library Published is the date the 'book' was published, its common to only have a month and year. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 08-03-2014 at 03:01 AM. |

Thanks. It's misleading for Calibre to include both those date inputs in the same section; right on top of each other; and for the "date added to Calibre" to even be readily editable at all (there's rarely a situation where you would want to change that).

@u238110 - you may prefer setting Preferences->Behaviour->Edit metadata (single) layout : to Compact Metadata
