It rebooted as if it were updating.

By 'other stuff', do you mean like USBNetworking and MKK or do you mean like kindlets? Because when I tapped KUAL, I got a different error than before, it now says something about it not being authorised as a test Kindle by the developer...

While I wrote this, I installed USBNetworking and that works :-)

Hmm, yeah, makes sense if they fixed it.

Anyway, for the logs, either dump them somewhere over ssh (showlog > sys.log), or enter ;dm in the Homescreen's searchbar, that'll dump them in the documents folder.

Hah. otacheck (I guess) renames the update files to update-<uuid>.bin. That's a fun way to fix it.

It magnificently undoes the benefits of our recent custom of uppercasing the U in update to avoid them being picked up by the factory updater though...

Ah, I did notice the renaming. I just ignored it and thought I may just have not noticed it before.

On another sidenote, do you know anywhere I could get a load of extensions for my freshly KUALed Kindle?

As for KUAL, there's a thread linked to in the KUAL post and/or the WiKi. Keep in mind that some stuff has never been tested on a PW/PW2.
