He was really just a chow hound - he'd eat anything you gave him. If allowed, I believe he would have litteraly exploded from eating but he did seem to like tomatoes (ripe if he could find them but he'd take green if that was all he could get), turnips and watermelon.

His brother prefered a piece of rawhide.

A Male norwegian forest cat should way between 5-10 Kg, while the females should be between 3-5.

It's a bit less than my dogs tho, they should be between 50-60 kilos when they are fully grown

wow, those are some big cats. but we still don't know how much of the weight is just fur. from the look of them, i'd say probably at least half.

My male cat used to weigh in at around 8kg - the vet assured me he wasn't overweight though, just big. I have no idea what mix he was - he was a large fluffy cat, very dark chocolate brown with black points. His sister was a much smaller short haired silver tabby.

Beautiful Bengals. A friend of mine has an Egyptian Mau, who looks a lot like this:

Beautiful cat, very fun (likes to play fetch still, at nearly a year old). Shortest fur I've ever encountered on a cat. I'm not normally a fan of "breeds" of cat, but he is a very sweet kitty. Apparently he wasn't considered "show" quality, so she only had to pay an exorbitant amount of money, rather than a ridiculous amount.

holy cow, that's a big cat ! i just weighed one of my cats : 4kg, and she's a bit fat right now (she gained weight while she was staying with my friend, which i don't mind, since the last time she lost a lot of weight and i think this is preferable). she's just your basic cat as well, no breed in particular.

heh. my friend who has the scary alien cats also pays ridiculous amounts of money for them. and she has FIVE of them. i don't even want to think about how much the total is.

Say "Come" to a Dog and he runs over and looks up at you, saying "Hi Buddy! What do you want?" (assuming he is well trained).

Say "Come" to a cat and he will look at you and say "put it in writing and I'll get back to you if I feel like it".

I want a friend, not an attitude - so DOG is where it is at!

However - I know a vet who says that any dog you can pick up with one hand is a rodent - so those are excluded from the "dog" category - IMHO.

We have two 120 pound Old English Sheepdogs - furry, ultra-friendly, totally great dogs!

They are Bernese Mountain Dogs. Incredibly friendly and goodnatured dogs
