I always pay with the PayPal. I do not have saved credit card info in my profile.

My credit card charges a foreign currency conversion fee of about 1%.

My Amazon Visa most certainly does have a fee for foreign transactions; I've been hit with it on Kickstarter when backing UK-based projects from the US. Paypal collects its fees by padding the exchange rate. My bank credit card charges 1.5% for foreign currency transactions, but its exchange rate is so much better that it works out cheaper to pay the credit card fees than to use PayPal.

Yes, that's the Canadian Amazon credit card. The card is actually issued by Chase, an American bank.

In Canada, if anyone is interested in avoiding foreign currency conversion fees, besides Amazon.ca credit card, the Sears Financial MasterCard also has no foreign currency conversion fees, which makes it ideal for international purchases as you don't get charged 2.5%. You can get more details from local Sears stores.

Unsure, if Sears USA has the same benefit for their Sears Financial MasterCard in USA.
