Win8 Calibre 64 and 86 won't mount my Nook STwGL
Just what the subject says, it'll mount in File Explorer in Win8 but not on the calibre software at all. I looked online to no avail and provided the device mounting debug data to see if maybe any of you could help.

I should also add that I'm running 1.4 on both versions of calibre.

According to that debug output your device is not being mounted as a drive, the only removable drive on your computer is E:, which appears tobe some kind of HP disk.

Which would be fine if my windows explorer wasn't showing that it mounts, as well as allowing me to actually look inside the various folders and subfolders of the nook, I've been using calibre between a ubuntu laptop rig and a windows home machine for about 3 years now as it's the most convenient management tool for my ereader:
[IMG] ![]() I'm running the latest firmware for the nook(1.2.1) that I"m aware of, as well as the latest calibre versions(1.4.0). The current debug(without the usb drive in): calibre 1.4 [64bit] isfrozen: True is64bit: True Windows-8-6.2.9200 Windows ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ('Windows', '8', '6.2.9200') Python 2.7.5 Windows: ('8', '6.2.9200', '', 'Multiprocessor Free') USB devices on system: [u'usb\\root_hub20&vid8086&pid1d26&rev0005', u'usb\\asmediausbd_hub&vid_040e&pid_0100&rev_0000' , u'usb\\vid_045e&pid_0719&rev_0100', u'usb\\vid_8087&pid_0024&rev_0000', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52e&rev_1500', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52e&rev_1500&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_082c&rev_0011&mi_00', u'usb\\root_hub20&vid8086&pid1d2d&rev0005', u'usb\\vid_06a3&pid_0cd7&rev_0215', u'usb\\vid_0409&pid_005a&rev_0100', u'usb\\vid_24f0&pid_0137&rev_0100', u'usb\\vid_24f0&pid_0137&rev_0100&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_8087&pid_0024&rev_0000', u'usb\\asmediausbd_hub&vid_040e&pid_0100&rev_0000' , u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_082c&rev_0011', u'usb\\vid_24f0&pid_0137&rev_0100&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_082c&rev_0011&mi_02', u'usb\\vid_0b05&pid_179c&rev_0001', u'usb\\asmediausbd_hub&vid_040e&pid_0100&rev_0000' , u'usb\\asmediausbd_hub&vid_040e&pid_0100&rev_0000' , u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52e&rev_1500&mi_00'] Drives detected: No disabled plugins Looking for devices of type: MTP_DEVICE List of WPD PNP ids: [u'\\\\?\\wpdbusenumroot#umb#2&37c186b&0&storage#vo lume#_??_scsi#disk&ven_b&n&prod_nook_simpletouch#0 00001##{6ac27878-a6fa-4155-ba85-f98f491d4f33}', u'\\\\?\\wpdbusenumroot#umb#2&37c186b&0&storage#vo lume#_??_scsi#disk&ven_b&n&prod_nook_simpletouch#0 00000##{6ac27878-a6fa-4155-ba85-f98f491d4f33}'] No suitable MTP devices found Looking for devices... Devices possibly connected: None In addition I ran all this in debug mode, so if wanted I could share the following text I got from that as well. I promise that this isn't a "newbie forgot to plug it into the micro-usb" issue, I lurked pretty extensively before even signing up for the forum because I figured there *had* to be some kind of fix already present. I checked the default plug-ins and they're all enabled, are there third party plugins that might fix this issue? Last edited by nerdythor; 09-23-2013 at 11:47 PM. |

Not anything I can do about this. Windows is reporting no removable drives to calibre. As such calibre cannot connect to it.
Use the connect to folder function in calibre to connect manually to the f:, other than that, I dont have any suggestions. |
