problem with Calibre 1.1.0
Hello!
I recently installed a program caliber-1.1.0 and trying to use it to convert pdf to epub format books. It fails for now, and maybe some of us here can help you quickly solve a problem. When I start the conversion program we throw Grška following: caliber 1.1 isfrozen True is64bit: False Windows-7-6.1.7601-SP1 Windows ('32bit ',' WindowsPE ') ('Windows', '7 ', '6 .1.7601') Python 2.7.4 Windows: ('7 ', '6 .1.7601', 'SP1', 'Multiprocessor Free') Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages \ caliber \ gui2 \ convert \ single.py", line 278, in accept File "site-packages \ caliber \ gui2 \ convert \ metadata.py", line 236, in commit File "site-packages \ caliber \ db \ legacy.py", line 458, in set_metadata File "site-packages \ caliber \ db \ cache.py", line 56, in ans File "site-packages \ caliber \ db \ cache.py", line 1115, in set_metadata File "site-packages \ caliber \ db \ cache.py", line 1110, in set_field File "site-packages \ caliber \ db \ cache.py", line 914, in set_field File "site-packages \ caliber \ db \ backend.py", line 1335, in windows_check_if_files_in_use File "site-packages \ caliber \ utils \ filenames.py", line 333, in __ init__ Error: (123, 'CreateFile', 'The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.') |

One quick thing to test is to see if it works if filenames, paths and disk volume labels all use only ascii characters. No accented characters at all anywhere.

Part of the problem is probably due to the fact that PDF files don't always convert well in most programs. PDF to Epub is fairly good at such conversions.
PDF to Epub They have promotions during which time the software is offered for free. |
