calibre problem

Just wanted to know if anybody has seen this before or knows a fix: when I access my edge via usb, calibre says that it connects to an edge but then disconnects (I have to check the exact error message). When I disable the edge plugin, I am able to put books on the sdcard using the send to folder method, but then, after unmounting, the edge says"blank SD card/ unsupported filesystems". It only works normally again, with all books correctly loaded, after rebooting. (I am running Allmine and have moved the library to the SDcard).
